2021... The story so far
I was never really that far away. The start of this year has been insanely busy, the day job has been going at full tilt, I've been working daft hours and barely had time for myself. Those who attend my Zoom yoga classes will know that I haven't taken a break from these and teaching really has kept me sane.
I ran a virtual half marathon and raised a ridiculous amount of money for www.prostatecanceruk.org training for this helped keep me physically active. It does help to have a goal.
So what's next!
The day job has calmed a little and I have the ability to return to regular hours again which is a godsend. I've started to look for venues to teach face to face, although I'm going to wait for restrictions to lift a little more before opening up face to face classes. The safety of my students is paramount to the practice.
One thing I am going to continue is Zoom yoga. It's been wonderful and it has become geographically diverse over the last year, I've got families attending from different households and a lovely group of regulars.
I think 2021 is going to be exciting for lots of reasons, predominantly a safe, return to some semblance of normality. However, I do hope we take forward some learnings from lockdown, most importantly more time for our loved ones and care and love for ourselves.
First weekend of restrictions lifting I got myself down to the beech and dipped my toes in the sea. It's lovely to connect with nature again, I've missed it so much.
A return to regular blogging will resume, watch this space...
